Hummingbird Feeders

Hummingbird feeders are the means in which we give the hummingbird food or nectar to the hummingbird. When looking for the perfect hummingbird feeder for your home, you will notice that there are lots of different styles and shapes available. This can make choosing the right hummingbird feeder somewhat overwhelming. Don’t worry, we are here to help.

When looking for a hummingbird feeder you should know the all of the different parts and pieces while still considering the style of the feeder. With all of the different shapes and styles out there, we decided to review a few of them here.

	We hang this feeder ever year here at our Hummingbird Farm and highly recommend it. Although it is very small and the opening on the tank makes it hard to clean, the hummingbirds really like it. The flowers on the feeder are huge. Our hummingbirds really like to sit on the perches, stick their heads in the flower where they can’t see the other hummingbirds, and take a nice long drink. This is the first feeder we put up and last one we take down every year.
	This feeder is the most common feeder we use here at our Hummingbird Farm for several reasons. First of all, if something breaks we can run to our local store to get a replacement. Second, this hummingbird feeder has a perch that goes all the way around the feeder with six (6) feeding stations. The bright red base attracts the hummingbirds really well and the opening to the tank is large enough to get a good Brush in it to get it really clean. We highly recommend this feeder for places with large hummingbird populations.
	This feeder is called the HummZinger Feeder. It works well for those areas that have a severe ant, bee, and/or wasp problem. HummZinger has patented the flowers on this hummingbird feeder to help prevent uninvited guests. The tank is in the shape of a bowl which sits below the flowers rather than above. This makes the tank really easy to clean and less susceptible to nectar dripping from heat expansion like the regular bottle type tanks. The tradeoff is it does not hold very much nectar so you may have to refill it more often.
	This hummingbird feeder looks absolutely beautiful and has no problems attracting hummingbirds. The tank is more difficult to clean and is very small. The hand-blown glass will make it a beautiful addition to any collection.
